ABOUT TAISHO
Contemporary Japanese dining ventures down a refreshingly new path here at TAISHO.
Tucked into Ventura Boulevard’s Restaurant Row, our Sherman Oaks restaurant and bar serves up crave-worthy Japanese food and drinks rooted in tradition — but with our own modern twist.
Local ingredients, fresh seafood, premium meats, Californian wines and craft sake combine to make a distinctively Taisho dining experience.
Take your pick of hot and cold dishes, including our signatures: robatayaki, sashimi and sushi. Then, pair it with a craft cocktail or glass of junmai.
At TAISHO, choose from four gorgeous dining areas: the front outdoor patio overlooking Ventura, the sprawling bar and lounge, the stylish dining room and our back patio oasis. The entire setting exudes a Japanese-meets-California vibe that’s airy and cosmopolitan — and anchored in a natural beauty that marries the indoors and out.
From the food to the ambiance to the service, TAISHO is a sought-after destination because no detail is ever overlooked.
Taisho is the sister restaurant to BLVD Steak and Casita Mexican Restaurant & Bar, both of which are our neighbors on Ventura Boulevard.
